Clyde Finishes One Shot Out of First Place
WACO -- Tyler's Cal Clyde finished fifth in the Texas Junior Golf Tour's Baylor Country Invitational Sunday at Twin Rivers Country Club.
Clyde finished just a stroke out of a four-way playoff for first place. Clyde, 17, shot a final round of 75 for a 36-hole total of 144. He had a first round score of 3-under 69.
Austin Struble (67-76 -- 143) of Aledo won the playoff for first place over Brax McCarthy (69-74) of Fort Worth, Brad Mason (72-71) of Dallas, and Mitchell Griffin (71-72) of Driftwood.
Longview's Jason Fiscus (72-73 -- 145) tied for seventh, while Connor Ribble of Texarkana, Ark., tied for 19th with a 149 (75-74).
Tyler's Jeffrey Juillerat rebounded with a 72 on Sunday to tie for 37th with a 153.
Teejay Shanks of Texarkana placed 64th with a 160 (84-76) as well as Sam Fidone of Lufkin (78-82).
Sam Sadler of Henderson tied for 74th with a 171 (89-82).
