Tyler’s Clyde Tied For 2nd
WACO -- Tyler's Cal Clyde fired a 3-under 69 Saturday in the first round of the Texas Junior Golf Tour's Baylor Country Invitational at Twin Rivers Golf Club.

He is tied for second, two strokes behind leader Austin Struble of Aledo, who carded a 5-under 67. Tied with Clyde is Brax McCarthy of Fort Worth.

Clyde's round included an eagle on the par 5, 515-yard No. 16 hole. He also had birdies on Nos. 4, 1 and 18.

Tied for 10th are Longview's Jason Fiscus and Dallas' Brad Mason, who each fired 72s.

Sam Fideon of Lufkin carded a 78 and is tied for 37th.

Tyler's Jeffrey Juillerat fired an 81 and is tied for 61st, while Teejay Shanks of Texarkana had a round of 84 and is tied for 70th. Henderson's Sam Sadler shot an 89 and is in 80th.

The second and final round is scheduled for Sunday.
