Comprehensive Cherokee Language Class Offered
The American Indian Cultural Society will offer classes on speaking, reading and writing Cherokee, said member Charles Anderson.
Anderson said it is one of the first comprehensive Cherokee language courses to be offered in the state.
The free classes will begin at noon on Sept. 13 at the Neches battleground in the Redland community between Tyler and Canton and will continue on the second Saturday of the month
For more information, call Anderson at 903-962-3157.
"There are hundreds of people who would thoroughly enjoy these classes," he said. "The more people we can get to take the course, the more fun it will be."
