Tyler's Matt Flynn Wins Backup QB Job With Packers
From Staff Reports

According to Web site Packers.com, Tyler's Matt Flynn beat out fellow collegiate standout Brian Brohm for the Green Bay Packers' backup quarterback position.

Flynn, a Robert E. Lee high school graduate who led LSU to the BCS championship in his senior season, completed 27 of 42 passes in limited preseason action for 209 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.

Green Bay, with Aaron Rodgers at QB, opens its season Monday at Lambeau Field against the Minnesota Vikings.
