Memorial Blood Drive Set Today At Texas College
Rose City Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction and Carter BloodCare will hold the Willie Lee Glass Memorial Blood Drive today at Texas College.
The late Willie Lee Campbell Glass was a longtime educator at the college.
The drive is set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Willie Lee Glass Auditorium at Texas College, 2404 Grand Ave., Tyler, organizers said.
It is scheduled to open with County Judge Joel Baker reading a proclamation recognizing the event.
Also to participate are Texas College Jazz Band and Choir and radio personalities from The Blaze.
The winner of a Top Teens Essay Contest commemorating the life of Mrs. Glass will read the entry. Donors will receive a T-shirt, lunch and refreshments.
In addition, participants will enter a drawing for chances to win tickets to a Dallas Mavericks or Dallas Stars game.
