Weather Watches Over For East Texas
At 4 a.m. today, the remnant of Tropical Depression Gustav was centered about 20 miles northwest of Texarkana, or 105 miles northeast of Tyler. He was moving northwest at 3
mph with maximum winds of 20 mph.
All watches for East Texas counties have been cancelled.
In the immediate Tyler area, west winds at 10-20 mph with occasionally higher gusts, along with periods of light rain and a few moderate showers are likely after dawn, and continuing into the afternoon. Additional rainfall accumulations should be under one-fourth inch.
The storm total through 7 p.m. Tuesday was 0.69 inch, with an additional 0.06 inch overnight.
Gustav will continue a slow northward drift through Western Arkansas this morning, but should begin a rapid shift off to the northeast this afternoon.
