Mall Hosting Firefighter Challenge
Broadway Square Mall, 4601 S. Broadway Ave., is the site of the Brookshire's Firefighter Combat Challenge, which begins Friday.
The competition involving firefighters in team and individual events is scheduled to take place in the parking lot north of the center from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday and 10:30-3 p.m. Saturday.
Loggins Culinary To Employ 200
Loggins Culinary, which has announced it will open a production facility in the vacated Armour Eckrich Building in Lufkin, plans to employ 200 within two years, according to economist Ray Perryman's mon-thly "The Perryman Report."
Seminar Explores Oil, Gas Leases
Texas AgriLife Extension Service and Harrison County Farm Bureau will hold "Hints On Negotiating An Oil and Gas Lease" from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 18 at Marshall Civic Center, Marshall.
The free seminar will inform landowners about their rights. The featured speaker will be William Fambrough, attorney and senior lecturer from the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.
Arp Woman Joins Angus Association
Elizabeth Hill of Arp has become a junior member of the American Angus Association.
Junior members are eligible to register cattle in the American Angus Association, participate in National Junior Angus Association programs, shows and events.
