There seems to be a lot of rhetoric that may confuse some folks in our current election season. For the record, I support Republican Sen. John Cornyn for many reasons.

Sen. Cornyn will always put our nation's security before caring about U.N. approval or international approval. This is a responsibility that Sen. Cornyn owes to Texas citizens.

No question about it, Sen. Cornyn believes that marriage is between a man and a woman. Nothing else need be said on that issue.

Sen. Cornyn will always oppose the brutality of partial-birth abortions.

Sen. Cornyn supports drilling now and drilling in our country. To say that accessing the oil reserves in our own country will not have an effect on our gasoline prices does not make any sense. Those who say it are probably trying to sell you a windmill, a solar panel, or possibly ocean-front property in Oklahoma.

Sen. Cornyn opposes nationalization of our health care. For pete's sake, who wants their doctor's appointment to be like standing in line at the Post Office?

Finally, Sen. Cornyn supports the right to bear arms. Period.
