GRADUATES
Air Force Airman Ron K. Weaver has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

He is the son of Brian and Melissa Weaver of Kilgore.

Navy Seaman Recruit Wesley R. Burch, son of Julie B. Cook of Lindale and Robert L. Burch of McKinney, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Army Pvt. Kevin J. Schrader Jr., Army Pvt. Ashley M. Ivey, Army Pvt. Vanessa S. Drake, Army Pvt. Charlie R. Wallace and Army Pvt. William L. Hobbs have graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbia, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldiers received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.

Schrader is the stepson of Susan Assunto of Tyler and son of Eileen Gottschalk of Bullard.

Ivy is the daughter of Michael and Tressa Ivy of Palestine.

Drake is the granddaughter of Martha Polk of Jacksonville.

Wallace is the son of Cammi Derr of Emory.

Hobbs is the son of Tim and Melissa Westervelt of Alba.
