Scholastic Recognition
Honors
Haley Ann Bolin, a Dartmouth College student in the class of 2008 and who is from Tyler, received the Rufus Choate Scholar Award during the 2007-08 school year.
Bolin is the daughter of Daniel Bolin and Catherine Bolin.
Rufus Choate Scholars are those students whose grade point averages are among the top five percent in the college for the academic year.
Graduations
Brittany Ballard, of Tyler, graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication during commencement exercises on May 17.
Anthony Massingill, of Tyler, was awarded the Associate of Applied Sciences degree in business administration from Kaplan University in Chicago during commencement exercises earlier this month.
New Students
Jim and Shauna Lambeth of Tyler will host Nadine Kusenbach, a Youth for Understanding student from Germany for the school year. Kusenbach will be a student at Robert E. Lee High School.
