Hollytree Team Sectional Champs
The Hollytree Country Club 3.5 ladies tennis team won the USTA Texas Sectional Championship Sunday in Plano.
Members of the squad are (from left) Karen Braaten, Missy Nash, captain Tasha Hiles, Abby Massey, Hollytree pro and coach Jim Sciarro, Claire Bufe, Chris Vordenbaumen, Rochelle Kasue, Lisa Hamm and Pate Bates.
They were undefeated in six round robin matches. They defeated The Valley, San Angelo, Houston and Waco in their pool. The HTCC ladies then defeated Austin in the semifinals and Dallas in the championship. The team advances to nationals Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Tucson, Ariz.
