Pump Jacks Down Brazos Valley Friday
BRYAN — The East Texas Pump Jacks moved to .500 for the season with a 5-4 victory against Brazos Valley on Friday night at BVB Ballpark.
East Texas (20-20) scored four unearned runs in the top of the sixth inning to rally from three down, and will go for its first winning record in franchise history tonight at Coppell.
The Pump Jacks were led at the plate by Adam De La Garza, who went 3-for-5 with two runs scored.
East Texas’ Steve Martin earned the win to remain unbeaten on the season (2-0). He entered in the fifth and pitched 3 1-3 shutout innings on two hits.
Gladewater’s Hunter Harris relieved Martin in the ninth to get the save.
