Fourteen-Year-Old Shot In Leg At South Broadway And Troup Highway
A fourteen-year-old boy was shot in the leg at about 11:16 p.m. Friday in the vicinity of Troup Highway and South Broadway Avenue, according to Tyler police.
The boy was traveling in a car as a passenger with his brother driving when they were accosted by several unknown Hispanic males in a brown four-door car, possibly a Mercury Grand Prix, the police report stated.
The driver of the suspect vehicle had a pistol and fired one round into the passenger side door, striking the youth in the leg.
The license plate of the suspect vehicle and the identity of the assailants is unknown at this time. This investigation is on-going.
